Leading players across Europe have been taking action to support a gender-conscious investing approach, including the establishment of Codes, Pledges, Charters and dedicated initiatives. However, organisations in many parts of Europe still lack access to established frameworks or models for action on gender-conscious investing, resulting in a fragmented ecosystem across Europe that does not manage to achieve impactful change for women founders.
Be part of the European Gender-Conscious Investing Action for Change
WomenINvestEU is establishing a new Commitment to Action for Investors and Finance Providers and relevant ecosystem players across Europe with the aim to achieve measurable change in the levels of investment in women founders and in the level of women in investment and decision-making.
The three core commitments to take action:
ACTION 1Establish inclusive investment practices
Take direct actions at both the strategic and operational levels to increase the level of investment in women founders by driving out good practices across the whole investment process;
Take direct actions to increase the level of women in investment leadership and decision-making by establishing effective pathways to empower more women to reach investment leadership and decision-making and to found and grow new VC Funds.
ACTION 2Take a strategic leadership approach
Designate a leader in the organisation with the role of promoting and embedding gender-conscious investment practices at both strategic and operational level and establishing relevant goals and KPIs.
ACTION 3Take steps to measure change
To establish appropriate baselines and goals to achieve measurable change in investment, for women founders and in the level of women in investment decision-making roles and establish a process to monitor and report on outcomes achieved over time.

Investment and Finance organisations and wider ecosystem players across Europe can become Partners of the Commitment to Action on European Gender-Conscious Investing.
