Our Goals
WomenINvestEU is significantly strengthening the capacity of the gender focused investment ecosystem across Europe. We are building a dedicated network of gender-conscious investors to facilitate knowledge sharing, mutual support and direct investment and co-investment between key players from across the European investment supply chain.
The network will provide opportunities for members to forge connections and engage each other through networking events, as well as create new pathways for women to enter the sector and become decision-makers.
Throughout the project, WomenINvestEU will also aim to educate and raise awareness on the benefits of gender focused investment, engaging key players from all across Europe in the effort to address inequality, while recruiting and empowering more women to pursue a career in finance.
Our Members
The WomenINvestEU Network will be made up of women and gender diverse investors from across Europe and from different parts of the finance supply chain, as well as key players from wider gender focused organisations.
The Network’s programme of activities, events and services is subject to input from the Network Steering Group. This committee of investors with notable experience, leadership and relevance in European gender-conscious investment ecosystem plays a key role in supporting the project.
Who can be a part of the WomenINvestEU Network?
The network is open and inclusive. While we are mainly targeting women, male gender-conscious investors who can share their experience of supporting women founders, as well as women in Venture Capital or Private Equity, are also welcome to join.
However, members of the Network should fall under one of the categories listed below:
- Individual Women Angel Leaders across Europe.
- All Female Angel groups.
- National Angel federations and Associations taking leadership in building Gender focused angel investment strategies and establishing in angel communities sector-specific the country or regions.
- Business Angel groups across Europe (regional or sector specific) with high proportions of Women angels or with specific gender-focusedwomen-focused investment commitments to backing women founders.
- Women in Venture Capital (VC), especially those on Investment Committees and leading management roles; Women as Investment partners, General Partners (GPs).
- Women Leaders in VC funds;
- Women GPs and Founders.
- Women as Limited Partners (LPs) especially those backing gender-focused Partners funds, as well as LPs investing in gender-focused funds.
- Women in Growth funds and PE, family offices.
- Dedicated associations focused on research on gender investing.
- Finance Institutions with Gender Finance strategy/initiatives.
- Diversity Funds focusing on wider target groups-intersectional issues.
- Overlooked founders.
- Gender and Diversity focused Accelerators.
- European Institutions and other organisations leading on specific gender-focused Initiatives and Good Practice Demonstrators.
- National and regional Initiatives Good Practice models.
- RegionalWider Global and international VCs/Angels and initiatives focused on gender investing.
Opportunities for Entrepreneurs
WomenINvestEU will also connect female founders with gender-conscious investors through matchmaking and pitching events.
