BIOVOX addresses the plastic problem in hospitals with their pioneering medical-grade bioplastics. Their sustainable and circular material portfolio is specifically designed and tested for the healthcare sector and offers the easiest solution for Medtech, Pharma, and Lab manufacturers to comply with both sustainability and medical regulations.
CARTemis Therapeutics GmbH
A spin-off from the Max Delbrück Center in Berlin with the mission to unlock the curative potential of CAR T-cells for hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases. CARTemis is pioneering the next generation of CAR T-cell therapies by introducing a novel target antigen that enables the simultaneous destruction of both tumor cells and their microenvironment aiming for long-lasting anti-tumor responses, minimize the risk of relapse, and significantly improve patient outcomes.
CC Diagnostics
CC Diagnostics has developed a PCR test for cervical cancer. This test detects 97% of cancers - 21% more than current methods, it's 6x faster to perform, and is self-sampling compatible, ensuring women’s access to accurate and pain-free complete screening.
VoiceMed
VoiceMed turns voice into a digital biomarker to assess respiratory health through a smartphone. Their AI solution enables lung function screening, smoking cessation support, and data generation for pharma. Backed by clinical studies, CE roadmap, and first revenues.
Kolibri
Acoustic cell engineering platform that reduces biomanufacturing costs by up to 89% to enable larger patient access to next-generation therapeutics. Kolibri’s technology paves the way for economies of scale of cell and gene therapies, much like monoclonal antibodies went from $100K per dose to less than $100 to manufacture.
Noxon GmbH (Uni-Spinoff aus dem KIT & TUM)
Noxon is hacking human movement with a novel, IP-protected deeptech innovation: a non-invasive brain-computer interface that plays movement programs directly onto the body’s musculature. From cancelling tremors in Parkinson’s, to restoring motion after spinal cord injury, to boosting and tracking elite athletic performance this technology is a gamechanger.
RS Research
RS Research is a clinical-stage biotech start-up developing smart nanomedicines for targeted therapies with enhanced safety and efficacy profiles. Founded by 2024 EIC European Prize for Women Innovators winner Prof. Rana Sanyal and Sena Nomak, the company leverages its proprietary Sagitta® drug delivery platform to design targeted drug candidates that offer a superior therapeutic index, delivering “a Cure With a Smile” to patients in need.
About the WomenINvestEU Matchmaking Events
As a part of its effort to expand the gender-focused investment ecosystem across Europe, WomenINvestEU is organizing online matchmaking events to connect women-led startups with members of its European Network of Gender-Conscious Investors.
Representatives of women-led startups, as well as startups with women in C-level positions, can apply for the chance to participate in these events through regular open calls. The selected startups will also receive pitching support on strategic topics, in order to prepare for their interactions with the gender-conscious investors in attendance.
